BELIEF STATEMENT

 

WE BELIEVE in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect in power who exists externally in three manifestations: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE the Holy Scripture, both Old and New Testament, are the living and active word of God, inspired and unaltered, breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. John 1:1, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16

​

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ our Savior, having been born of the Virgin Mary was sent by God to save His people from their sins. Further, we believe Jesus died on the cross, arose the third day, ascended into heaven at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and advocate. Isaiah 7:14, John 3:16-17, Romans 10:9, Acts 1:9-11

WE BELIEVE salvation was gained by the blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provides the only ground for justification for all who believe, confessing Jesus Christ as our personal savior in which by grace we have been saved through faith. Revelation 12:11, Hebrews 9:22, Ephesians 2:8-9

WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit is the glorification of Jesus Christ through love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, teaching us in remembrance of all things said by God, interpreting spiritual truth. Galatians 5:22-23, John 14:26, Corinthians 2:13

WE BELIEVE in baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for remission of sins, a visible outward expression of an inward change in our hearts by obedience. Acts 2:38, Peter 3:21, Mathew 3:11

WE BELIEVE the church built on the foundation of Jesus Christ is the holy temple of the Lord, a dwelling place for God by the spirit. Ephesians 2:20-22
